Getting Started
Install AirTower and get it running in under a minute.
Requirements
- macOS 13 (Ventura) or later
- Git installed and available in your PATH
- A terminal emulator (Terminal.app, iTerm2, Warp, Ghostty, etc.)
Installation
Download the latest release from GitHub and move the app to your Applications folder.

# Mount and install
open AirTower.dmgAlternatively, if you use Homebrew:

When you first open AirTower, it will appear in your menu bar. Click the icon to reveal the floating status panel. AirTower automatically detects the git repository in your current working directory.
- Click the AirTower icon in the menu bar to toggle the panel
- The panel will show git status for the active terminal's working directory
- AirTower polls for changes every 2 seconds by default
Permissions
AirTower needs the following permissions to function:
- Accessibility — to detect the active terminal window and position the panel
- Full Disk Access — optional, only needed if your repos are outside standard directories
You can grant these in System Settings > Privacy & Security.
